Small Ash bowl
This small Ash dish has been hand turned, sanded and then scorched, and brushed, a technique known as Shou Sugi Ban, to highlight the grain on the outside of the bowl. The inside has simply been turned and left a lovely pale straw colour to give a really strong contrast between the inside and the outside. The whole bowl has finally been sealed and waxed by hand using a natural polish to give a fine smooth finish.
The bowl is 6” in diameter and 1.75” high.
Being finished with a wax polish this item is only suitable for dry goods.
