Mulberry natural edged bowl
If you are looking for something a little different then this is the one for you. This is the first piece of Mulberry I have ever turned. Really glad I have some more to play with it’s lovely both to turn and, more importantly, looks stunning once its been finished.
This one was turned wet & allowed to move as it dried. There are a couple of sections that have rippled as they dried, the lighter coloured burred sections on the edges. The rest of the bowl has curled slightly on drying to leave an interesting shape.
The colours and final shape are fascinating.
It has, as usual, been hand turned, sanded and finished with a wax polish to a fine smooth finish.
It is approx. 10“ at its widest, approx. 7“ wide at its narrowest point and approx. 3.5“ high.
Suitable for use with dry goods only.
