This small section of Sycamore has produced a lovely shallow bowl with distinctive markings on the inside. Running across the grain is a faint but visible rippled marking known as chatoyancy which makes this piece a bit special.

The bowl has been hand turned and then hand finished, using my favourite natural wax polish, to give the lovely soft sheen you can see in the photographs.

The maximum size across the bowl is the bowl is 9.5”. The smallest size is approx. 7” with the bowl standing approx. 2.5” high.

Being wax finished it is suitable for dry goods only.
