Turned to resemble a doughnut this piece of beech has a gloss wax finish. This piece of wood is slightly spalted. This spalting has given the wood some lovely markings and enhanced the natural paler colours normally found in beech. To one side is part of a small branch (knot) which adds character to the piece.
