This chunk of yew was part of a load I collected from a small mill close to the Arboretum at Thorpe Perrow. The whole batch is just wonderfully marked and coloured, watch out for more pieces of this batch during 2018.

This bowl was left shaped with thick walls and base and it cries out to be touched and handled. The beautiful grain swirls and colours make this piece so the turning is deliberately plain.

The highly polished wax finish completes the job.
